The dashboard assistant: ask instead of digging

The dashboard assistant: ask instead of digging

Stop digging through docs. Ask the assistant in your dashboard.

It's 11pm. Your feed didn't import, and you're clicking through tabs trying to find where the schedule even lives. You open a guide, go back to the dashboard, open the guide again. You're stuck.

You don't have to hunt anymore. The Upsellic dashboard now has an assistant you just ask, and it answers from our documentation and your real data.

It knows where you are

The assistant sits on every dashboard page and sees the context you're working in: which page you're on and which item you're editing, including an open edit dialog. Ask "why won't this save?" with a feed open and you don't have to explain yourself. It already knows what you're looking at.

It answers from the content, not with a link

Ask "how do I set the feed import schedule?" and you get a concrete, step-by-step answer built from our guides and FAQ. Not a dry "go read this," but the actual explanation. A link to the source comes as a follow-up, for when you want to go deeper.

It reads your data, but only yours

The interesting part starts with questions about your own store. "Why isn't my feed importing?" makes the assistant pull your real feed configuration and import logs, live. Ask about your widgets, themes, or websites the same way, and it answers from current data, not guesses.

That data stays tightly under your permissions. The assistant works with exactly the permissions you have. A teammate with access to a single store will only ever see that store through the assistant. If you're not allowed to see something in the dashboard, the assistant won't show it either. It declines, rather than working around the guardrails.

It works out how many credits you'll need

Black Friday is coming and you're wondering whether you have enough credits. Instead of guessing, you ask. The assistant reads your current usage, the trend over the last few weeks, and your plan's limit, then estimates how many conversations to expect next.

The method is simple: the number of conversations is your traffic times the share of visitors who start a chat, usually 3 to 8 percent, depending on industry and product complexity. The assistant applies that to your real numbers and tells you plainly whether your current limit will hold or whether it's worth raising it before the peak. It also reminds you that one conversation is one credit, however long it runs.

It takes you where you need to go

When the answer is "you set that under Feeds", the assistant doesn't leave you with a tab name to hunt for. It weaves a clickable jump into the answer that takes you straight to the right page, with no reload and the conversation still open.

It advises, it doesn't click for you

The assistant has read-only permissions. It explains, reads, calculates, and navigates, but it doesn't change settings for you. That's a deliberate design choice: your store's configuration stays in your hands, and the assistant shows you exactly where to click to do it yourself. Less room for a change you never meant to make.

And it's free. It doesn't touch your credits. Credits are spent by your customers' conversations with the widget, not by your questions to the assistant in the dashboard. Ask as much as you like.

In your language

The assistant both answers and displays in your dashboard language: English, Polish, German, French, and Dutch. Ask in whatever way suits you.

The assistant is already in your dashboard, on every page, ready for your first question.
